How do I set up my email signature?

This article describes, how to create a personal email signature that will be used for all outgoing emails.

Steps to set up your email signature:

  1. Log into your Fair Licensing account using your username and password.
  2. In the top right corner, click on your username
  3. Select 'Edit email signature' in the dropdown menu
  4. Enter your email signature in the text field
  5. Click 'Confirm'

From now on, your email signature will be appended to all manually sent emails (new emails, emails from custom templates, replies to emails) as well as automated (scheduled or triggered) emails for cases that were activated by you.

Note: for cancelled cases that were reactivated by a different user than the one activating the case initially, automated emails will be sent in the name of the last user that activated the case.

Caution 1: when you use your own email signature, make sure that email templates don't contain a signature to avoid sending out emails with two signatures.

Caution 2: if you're using Fair Licensing with multiple users, make sure that all users have their email signature set.

Caution 3: when adding an image to your signature like your company logo, please upload images that you don't have to resize a lot, since the images are transferred in full size and only resized when displayed. In some cases we experienced that the resizing doesn't work and the image is displayed in full size.
