How do I use the case auto-fill function?

In order to activate a case, it is necessary to provide information like the license fee, the applicable tax type, etc. To simplify this task, you can create case templates with default values, which can be used to auto-fill the case properties.

Steps to create a case template:

  1. log into your Fair Licensing account using your username and password
  2. in the menu to the left, click on "Templates"
  3. click on "Case Auto Fill"
  4. Click on "Add Case Template" and enter a name (e.g. "Default", "German Case Template" , "UK Case Template")
  5. Press 'Enter' and select the newly created case template
  6. select / enter default values for the case template
  7. click the "Save" button

Steps to auto-fill  a case:

Auto-filling a case is only possible in 'Standby' state, since it is the only state, which allows case properties to be edited.

  1. in the menu to the left, click on "Standby" in the "Cases" menu
  2. from the case list, select the case you want to be auto-filled
  3. click the "Auto Fill" button
  4. in the pop-up's drop-down menu, select the case template to be applied, if you have multiple. If you only have one template, it is automatically selected.
  5. click the "Apply" button

Already set properties of a case will be overwritten with the case template's default value, if they are specified in the case template.
